What is Mirafit fbcx?

Mirafit fbcx is a soluble fiber derived from corn that reduces the absorption of dietary fat. One gram (one tablet) of Mirafit binds nine grams or 81 calories of fat.  Six tablets per day prevents the absorption of a significant portion of the fat in a typical daily diet. In combination with a healthy diet and exercise program, use of this naturally occurring food supplement has been shown in clinical studies to support weight loss and to maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels. Mirafit is heart-friendly because it is stimulant- free.

The active ingredient in Mirafit is alpha-cyclodextrin, that has GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status in the U.S.  The World Health Organization has given it an allowable daily intake of “not specified,” suggesting that there is no unsafe level. It has Natural Product status in Japan; is Food Approved in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela; has Novel Food status in New Zealand and Australia; approved as a dietary supplement in South Korea; is Food Approved in the Philippines; is approved as a dietary food supplement in Jordan and Hong Kong and is approved as a Dietary Supplement in Taiwan.

The first U.S. patent for Mirafit fbcx was issued in May 2005. Additional U.S. and world patents have either been issued or are pending.
